RUNNING FOR A GOOD CAUSE MERCK COMPANY RUN IN DARMSTADT RHÖNENERGIE CHALLENGE Whether runners are there to enjoy the exercise or to overcome their inner couch potato in the company of colleagues the focus of the run is more on the participation than on athletic achievement Running times and performance take a back seat to having fun Since 2012 the Merck Company Run in Darmstadt has gotten companies onto the track in the name of a good cause For each participant in this charity highlight one euro is deposited in the donation pot for non profi t projects in Darmstadt and the region As one of 237 companies Kunert Wellpappe put together a small team of valiant runners drawn from the personnel of the Biebesheim plant With more than 7 770 participants the 12th RhönEnergie Challenge in Fulda Germany was an unqualifi ed success The charity campaign I need your help received two euro for each runner So it s no wonder that so many runners took part Despite the hot weather a team of stalwart runners assembled to represent Paul Co at this athletic highlight and do its part for the cause The fi nal sum of the donations amounted to over 14 000 euro SMELLS LIKE TEAM SPIRIT
